This week, we have the 4th episode of Vegas Undercover Raw: America'$ Black Market at 8PM. Las Vegas is a city unlike any other--- with glitz, glamour and round the clock action, so it's no wonder it has been called an adult playground. The men and women of the Las Vegas Police Department, tasked with protecting both its citizens and tourists alike, are presented with some enormous challenges...And, as you'll see, they take those challenges head on. Over the course of nearly a year, we were given unprecedented access to several undercover sting operations, specifically designed to nab some of their biggest criminals. Until now, only a very small percentage of that footage has ever been broadcast. In this episode, police put together a storefront operation, a fencing operation, and get word out on the street that it is the place to bring stolen goods, everything from cars, to guns, to counterfeit money. The goal was getting the criminals to bring in even more criminals, identifying a huge pool of bad people and ultimately catching them in the sting operation to get them off the street.
Monday at 9PM, we present : MSNBC Films: The Assassination of Dr. Tiller: Rachel Maddow takes viewers inside the intricate story of the events leading to the murder of Dr. George Tiller, a prominent Kansas doctor who was fatally shot on May 31, 2009, by anti-abortion extremist Scott Roeder. The program provides first-hand accounts of Tiller’s murder at his church in Wichita—including police footage of Roeder’s arrest shortly after the murder and compelling courtroom testimony by Roeder proudly admitting to the killing. The jury quickly found Roeder guilty and sentenced him to 50 years without the possibility of parole. The documentary also includes a never-before-broadcast interview with Dr. Tiller describing a 1993 attempt on his life when he was shot 5 times at point-blank range by anti-abortion extremist Shelley Shannon. Despite his life-threatening injuries, Dr. Tiller returned to work the very next day. Tiller said, “There was never any question in my mind that I was not going to go to work the next day. I was going to work—hell or high water. I’m not gonna be run over—I’m not gonna be run out. It’s that simple.” The program also features interviews with Scott Roeder’s ex-wife, as well as leaders of the anti-abortion movement, and Tiller's clinic colleagues.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22
10PM: Lockup Corcoran: Extended Stay - Everyone Gets Got: California State Prison, Corcoran is a turbulent sea of politics: from old school prison gangs to disruptive street gangs, it’s a dangerous mix for staff and inmates alike. In an effort to control their activity, officers move known gang members into the security housing unit, or SHU, where they have to make a choice -- stay in the gang or drop out.
11PM: Lockup Corcoran: Extended Stay - Hugs Not Drugs: Inmates have been dreaming up new ways to smuggle in contraband since Corcoran opened its doors in 1988. Whether in the form of drugs or weapons, it’s always a race against time for prison officials to find the banned items….before it’s too late.
12AM: Lockup Raw: Ever Present Danger: It’s a world where the threat of danger dictates every action and every decision. From stabbings over drugs, or money owed for the prison canteen, to vengeance attacks on child molesters, it's a world that Lockup producers and camera crews explore on a regular basis; where even the most heinous violations are commonplace.
1AM: Lockup Raw: Criminal Minds: Nine of the most violent criminals to ever appear on "Lockup" give chilling accounts of their crimes. They reveal what drove them to take such actions and provide insights into their lives behind bars.
2AM: Lockup Raw: The Devil's Workshop: In prison, it’s said you can do the time, or let the time do you. On a good day, too much idle time can invite mischief, and as one inmate says, "Idle hands is the devil’s playground." While on a bad day, too much time can lead to mayhem. In many of the prisons profiled on Lockup, inmates have opportunities to learn skills that can help them find work on the outside. But all too many spend their time honing skills more suitable to mayhem and murder.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23
8PM: Lockup Raw: The Daily Grind: Every time the Lockup producers step into another prison, they're amazed by the world they've entered. It’s violent, loud and very intimidating. And yet through it all, it's a fascinating place. But the daily grind of prison life has been known to push some inmates to the brink. While some use the time wisely, other inmates self-destruct.
9PM: Lockup Raw: Inmates Gone Wild: When Lockup crews go behind prison walls, they know to always expect the unexpected. They’ve seen bloody assaults inmate rage, destruction in the cell block, and bizarre expressions of personal style. Now some of the most memorable and unexpected moments we’ve encountered inside America’s prisons.
10PM: Lockup Raw: America's Toughest Jails: As one prison official puts it: "You’re in a jail. There’s no greater punishment in the world." Even some inmates voice concern about being placed in close proximity to "crack heads, dope fiends, rapists and murderers." Lockup producers have spent time at three of America’s busiest and largest jails: L.A. County, Miami-Dade and New York’s Rikers Island. They've found that these institutions represent a real cross section of life across the country, and each one has its own unique set of challenges.
11PM: Lockup Raw: Hard Time: These are the inmates who may never know freedom again, and feel they have nothing left to lose. For them, incarceration is "a grinding wheel..a rut...a death trap." It leads many of them to snap, because, as one prison officer says, "These are not the good guys."
12AM: Lockup Raw: Friend or Foe?: Inside every prison, there’s one question that both inmates and correctional officers must ask themselves. Knowing the right answer could be the difference between life and death. The question? Who can I trust?
1AM: The Squeeze: A Necessary Evil: Chicago… home to more than a hundred thousand gang members and a rampant drug trade. At Cook County Jail, authorities work cases with the help of inmates…turned informants. In this high-stakes game of opportunity, everybody has an angle. And sometimes, the bad guys play both sides of the fence.
2AM: The Squeeze: Borderline: Little Village on Chicago's South Side represents more than just battle lines within the Hispanic community. For decades, it’s been a beacon of opportunity. Generations of immigrants – both legal and illegal – have come to work in family-owned businesses here, many of them along 26th Street. Officers know that all the small businesses along 26th Street bring a lot of revenue into the city. And they admire the hard-working older people, who, in their eyes, came to the us to"make a better life." The newer, illegal, immigrants, the officers say, "were born and raised on nothing but poverty....And they have that hunger to make money." It's a hunger they say drives some individuals to organized crime. In this episode, officers pursue a counterfeit ring that sells fake green cards and drivers’ licenses to illegal immigrants. It’s one of many local ID rings that – altogether – reap millions in profits.

8PM: Vegas Undercover Raw 4: America'$ Black Market [PREMIERE]: Las Vegas is a city unlike any other--- with glitz, glamour and round the clock action, so it's no wonder it has been called an adult playground. The men and women of the Las Vegas Police Department, tasked with protecting both its citizens and tourists alike, are presented with some enormous challenges...And, as you'll see, they take those challenges head on. 9PM: MSNBC Undercover: Sex Slaves - The Teen Trade: They're all American girls, raised to believe that the suburbs are safe; that sex slavery is a nightmare reserved only for foreign women, or troubled teens in the big city.Today, fueled by the power of the internet, selling teenage girls has exploded into a billion dollar business, where men can order girls without ever leaving the comfort of their homes. It's the sex industry's dirty little secret, involving girls forced to sell their bodies by ruthless men.
10PM: Body Snatchers of New York: Late in 2005, a true New York crime story broke that quickly spread like wildfire across America and then around the world. The details of “New York Body Snatchers” read more like something from the pages of a pulp horror novel, and a hungry press went to town on the lurid details of how over 1000 corpses had been allegedly stolen, carved up and sold in a scheme that netted those responsible millions of dollars. The public were horrified yet could not look away as for over two years ever more sensational morsels on the “crime of the century” were splashed across TV, papers and online. At the center of this storm was Michael Mastromarino. Labeled by one paper as “Public Enemy No.1”, this former surgeon stood accused of masterminding the crime. A family man with a wife and two children, he is now serving a possible total sentence of 54 years behind bars. In this film, Michael Mastromarino will speak in detail about what really happened, as will all the principal players, revealing the difficult truth behind the tabloid headlines. Built on first person testimony from the people who lived this troubling story, this documentary will uncover a human tale far more nuanced and complex than anyone ever realised. Going beyond this very personal story, the film will also take in the bigger picture most observers chose to ignore – the legal industry that relies on human tissue and bone from corpses for medical procedures.
11PM: To Catch a Predator: Petaluma 1: This program is set in the town of Petaluma, California, an hour north of San Francisco. It's where, in 1993, 12-year-old Polly Klaas was abducted and murdered by sex predator Richard Allen Davis. The police say law enforcement here is acutely aware of the dangers posed by sex predators. That’s one of the reasons the department wanted to set up a sting. What would our hidden cameras find? As in the past, men from all walks of life show up. A respected doctor and a carpenter who gave us the most revealing confession we’ve ever heard.
12AM: To Catch a Predator: Petaluma 2: Even though millions of people have seen our series and we’ve caught 150 men, in this latest investigation, our seventh one, we have one of our largest turnouts ever. 29 men show up at this upscale house in Sonoma County, California in just three days.
